A friend of mine has one an I noticed that his does not have microsoft word, excel, powerpoint, etc. Everything a college student like myself needs in a computer. I really love the overall look and capability of the MAC the idea of a computer that doesn’t crash sold me but I noticed that a few Microsoft programs are not compatible with it. Today I tried transferring songs from a MAC to my ZUNE mp3 player and the computer wouldn’t even recognize my device. Would I be making a poor investment buying this product?

OK here’s the deal:

My laptop crashed and needed to be replaced….so all my old files, music etc. is gone.
I now have a new laptop and have re-downloaded the zune program to it (with no music files on it).
I still have ALL my music on my ZUNE, but want to know if there is a way to transfer music from my ZUNE player to my Zune program on my new PC??

My friend currently owns an iPod, but he is having issues. His computer crashed a few months ago, and he says he can no longer find any songs on his iTunes. His iPod holds all of his songs, but the only problem now, is that he wants to add more songs, and other multumedia, and everytime he plugs the iPod into his computer the iTunes says something along the lines of “Do you wish to restore [or reset] your iPod?”. Is there anyway for him to retrieve the songs directly off his iPod and save it on a seperate drive (flash drive, computer, cd, etc) without going thtough the iTunes software risk losing everything? I have a Microsoft Zune, so I’m not too sure as to how the iPod and iTunes software work together since I know that the Zune software has guest syncing where you can sync at any computer with the Zune software without deleting all your files.
